REAL MEN WORSHIP DEVOTIONAL DAY 5

DAY 5 WORSHIP MAKES GOD THE KING OF YOUR HEART
It’s not always easy to worship. Sometimes I’m too busy in the mornings to take the time before work. Sometimes I’m at church and just “don’t feel it,” because I don’t agree with the song selection or I’m not in a good mood. And sometimes I just arrive to church service with spiritual heaviness.
I’ve been guilty of judging those leading worship and also of those being outward with their expressive worship. I’ve even judged those who don’t raise their hands or outwardly participate as being too “stoic” or “dead.”
Why do I experience such a battle for worship? Because Satan knows how powerful our worship is, especially when it’s from our heart. Jesus said, “ Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24).
John 4:23-24 says that worship comes from your spirit- from the deepest part of you- that’s true worship- when you’ve give Jesus all of you because of who He is, what He’s done and because of who you are in Him. Your mind makes the decision  to worship and then your spirit takes over from there.  Your spirit takes over to give God the purest and most powerful form of worship from the heart. That’s why the devil fights men so hard in the area of worshiping God. Because Satan knows worship brings  such a freedom and power in letting your heart be free to worship God.
I’ve heard it said that God created us to worship Him. However, scripture tells us Heavenly beings worship 24/7. I believe from scripture that God created us in His image to have fellowship with him and represent Him on this earth. Worship actually benefits us as men to enter into a deeper, more intimate relationship with our Creator. Worship brings that Heavenly atmosphere down here to Earth. God’s presence is found where worship to Him is present (Psalm 22:3). That’s the power of worship, to be closer to Him.

REVELATION‬ ‭14:7‬ ‭AMP “and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God [with awe and reverence], and give Him glory [and honor and praise in worship], because the hour of His judgment has come; [with all

your heart] worship Him who created the heaven and the earth, the sea and the springs of water.””

‭‭‬‬
My hope is that this reading plan has empowered you to break free of the chains that keep you dormant in the area of worship to God and allow your full participation in worship to Him who is worthy.
